Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
The short version: creatr stores your account and the ideas, scripts, saves and plans you create so you can use them across devices and share them with people you choose. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or advertising analytics. We collect anonymous crash reports so we can fix bugs. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.
This policy explains what information the creatr app ("creatr", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the creatr iPhone app and this website.
Information you give us
Your account
- Email and password if you sign up with email. Your password is stored securely (hashed) by our sign-in provider; we can't see it.
- Sign in with Apple: Apple shares a user identifier and an email address (which can be a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email"), and your name the first time you sign in.
- Sign in with Google: Google shares your name, email address and profile picture link. We only ask for this basic profile information.
- Your name, which you can change in Profile. It's shown to people you share with.
- Your username, if you choose one. Other creatr users can find you by your exact username so they can share with you, and it's shown to people you share with. Your email is not shown to people who invite you by username.
What you create
- Ideas, scripts (hook, body, call to action), music vibe notes, titles, categories and folders.
- Saved inspiration videos: the links you paste, the names, reasons and notes you add. We store the link only; we don't download the video.
- Calendar blocks, repeats, reminders, notes and to-dos.
- Sharing: the usernames or email addresses of people you invite to a script or folder, and their access level.
- Your settings, such as your preferred script style and whether video previews are shown.
Information collected automatically
- Technical information needed to run the service, such as your IP address, device type, operating system and app version, which our hosting providers process when the app connects to them (for example, to sign you in, sync your data or download an app update).
- Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a diagnostic report (what went wrong in the code, device model, iOS and app version, and an anonymous account ID). Reports don't include your scripts, notes, email or name. We use Sentry to collect them, only to find and fix bugs.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, your phone gives us a token so we can tell you when someone shares a script or invites you to a folder. It's removed when you sign out or delete your account.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, ad networks or tracking across other apps and websites.
Permissions on your phone
- Notifications: used for the reminders you set on calendar blocks (scheduled on your phone) and to let you know when someone shares a script or invites you to a folder.
- Clipboard: read only when you tap Paste to add a link.
- Calendar (only if you turn on calendar sync in Profile): creatr adds your blocks and film / post dates to a "creatr" calendar on your phone, and shows your other events as busy time in creatr's week view. Your other calendar events are read on your phone only; they are never uploaded to our servers. Turning sync off removes the creatr calendar from your phone.
- Share to creatr: when you use the share button in TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or another app and pick creatr, only the link you shared is passed to creatr, so you can save it.
You can turn any of these off in your iPhone's Settings.
Watching videos in creatr
When you play a saved TikTok, Instagram or YouTube video inside creatr, the video is streamed directly from that platform using its official embedded player. creatr doesn't download or store the video. Those players, and the preview pictures we show for them, are loaded from the platform, which receives your IP address and device information and may use cookies according to its own privacy policy (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube / Google). Videos only load when you tap play, and you can turn off video previews on scripts in Profile.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To store and sync what you create, and show it on your devices.
- To share scripts and folders with the people you invite, and show you items shared with you.
- To send push notifications about shares and invites, and reminders you set.
- To send password reset emails and respond when you contact support.
- To keep the service working, fix crashes and other problems, and prevent abuse.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- People you share with. When you share a script or folder, the people you invite can see its contents, plus your name and your username or email. Items others share with you are visible to them in the same way.
- Service providers that run parts of creatr for us, only to provide the service:
- Supabase — database, file and sign-in hosting.
- Apple and Google — only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Expo — delivers app updates and push notifications.
- Sentry — collects crash reports.
- Resend — sends password reset and account emails.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have a creatr account. When you delete something in the app, it's removed from our database. When you delete your account, your account and everything you own in creatr are permanently deleted. Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your login and all of your ideas, scripts, saves, folders, calendar blocks and to-dos. Scripts and folders you created that were shared with others are deleted too. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to remove creatr's access to your Apple ID. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll delete it for you.
Your choices and rights
You can view, edit and delete your information in the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and access is limited so that people can only see their own items and items shared with them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
creatr isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where data is stored
creatr is run from the United States, and your information is stored on servers operated by our providers, which may be located in the United States or other countries.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and let you know in the app when appropriate.
